Aesthetic surgery is composed of surgical procedures, intended for the achievement of change, correction and treatment, which are demanded to enable the person to feel better about his/her body or face. These procedures are performed under the license given to the persons who have plastic surgery training and qualifications.
As all of these practices are carried out with expectations related to the personsˊ images, the assessment of the outcome is made with th4 the psychological satisfaction that comes together with the confirmation of this image. The most important criteria that a person expects with these interventions, making her/him feel better and healthier (wellness) are, in order of priority, as follows: being in harmony, younger, lively and attractive.
On the other hand, the procedures, which are made without any surgical intervention, in environments outside hospitals, for example with the help of a specific device, are complimentary applications that do not have permanent affects. Such applications would make the person feel better and comfortable, holistic from a bio- psychosocial perspective. These procedures should be made by dermatologists and plastics surgeons who have expertise and training in these fields.
Let us repeat, surgical operations are procedures that have multi-dimensional expectations and results providing both physical change and transformation and requiring psychological satisfaction and social approval. - e) Who valorizes his hand labor appropriately in return of all these things.
If the practitioner introduces and advertises himself as an artist, considers his interventions as a art object, does not take into consideration the Hippocratic oath, does not update himself with new information and techniques, profess commercially just for Money and if he does not inform you precisely, this could be as dangerous and detrimental as in case where the Practitioner is not a plastic surgeon at all.
