Graduated from Ankara High School in 1983, Nedim Sarıfakıoğlu completed his undergraduate degree at Uludağ University Faculty of Medicine in 1991 and his Master’s (Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery ) education at Çukurova University in 1998.
After his specialization, he worked as a full-time and part-time specialist in Ankara Training and Research Hospital and Fatih University Faculty of Medicine, respectively (1998-2002). After a short period of self-employment experience in Istanbul in 2003, he was appointed to Fatih University Faculty of Medicine as an Assistant Professor in 2004.
In the same year, he organized a symposium that he chaired at TUBITAK, the subject of which was “Types of Research in Medicine, Ethical Rules and Principles of scientific article writing”, and edited his printed book (ISBN: 975-303-019-3).
He earned the title of associate professor in 2008
Working as a full-time consultant physician in private and foundation hospitals between 2008-2012, Dr. Sarıfakıoğlu has been continuing his work, which he calls “Gestalt Aesthetics and Surgical Practices”, in his own practice.
Finally, on 14 04 2015, he organized and chaired an interdisciplinary Workshop, the subject of which was “Border Violations in the Medical Professions” in Ankara. The announcement of the event was published in full as a teaser on YouTube and later as a Book (ISBN: 978-605-030-875-4).
Dr. Sarıfakıoğlu defines aesthetic surgery practices as scientific and real medical practices rather than works of art or workshops based on the common imagination.
Nedim Sarıfakıoğlu, who works with his patients with the principle of “first do no harm” and with his colleagues, whom he sees as solution partners rather than competitors, within the framework of the “Professional Guild and Ethical Principles” that he has established. He is married to Prof. Dr. Evren Sarıfakıoğlu (Dermatologist) and they have a son named Arman.
