Most Common “7 Problems” Encountered After Breast Surgeries

It is not possible to have permanent and satisfactory results in any operation, which is not properly planned and made with realistic expectations.

In breasts operations other reasons for patient dissatisfaction include the following: Surgical scar, asymmetry, deformity, inadequate treatments, taking its previous shape in a short period, long recovery period, loss of tissue-sense. Thanks to the common use of advanced surgical techniques, operations that necessitate long scars in inframammary fold are only made in limited number of cases

The risk of deformations that are observed after the operation can be reduced by a careful planning and drawing before the surgery. Some surgeons, who are at the beginning of their career,  or who perform the surgery in an uncontrolled manner, can remove the tissue in insufficient amount or in excess or  and this could lead to insufficient treatment. It is known that the breasts can return to their original state in a short time depending on the technique chosen for the surgery.

The achievement of sustainable aesthetic results depend on patient life style, age, general health condition, skin structure, intensity of physical activity, selected surgical technique, and on whether high quality elite materials are used or not for the operation.

The long duration of recovery may indicate an undefined wound healing problem. The poor quality of patient’s hygiene, smoking, genetic features, existing diseases and the poor hygiene of the materials used in the surgery may lead to delays or problems in wound healing. Finally, in some surgeries performed with an unperfected rough technique specific to the surgeon or in some cases performed with an endoscopic blind system, temporary or permanent sensory loss in the nerves of the nipple may be observed.
