What is mammoplasty ?
In order to perform/provide lifting, reduction, symmetry, sling, augmentation procedures, mammoplasty is performed for the breasts that lost integrity, originality, aesthetic-sexual value due to congenital reasons, reasons occurred over time, developmental and reasons such as surgery and accident.
Mammoplasty can be performed to a single breast or both breast, to adolescents or middle-aged women, to a person who lost breasts due to breast cancer at any age.
Breast is an organ which has sensory, hormonal, social, sexual, psychological and anatomical value. Anatomical and aesthetic loss cause inadequacy and lack of self-confidence.
How does the process continue before plastic surgery?
When considered integrally, it is very important that a surgeon should be experienced for all solution-oriented procedure and should determine the most appropriate technique for the patient. The breasts should be evaluated by considering the place and situation and appearance in the shoulder cavity, neck, abdominal area.
What should be considered after mammoplasty?
Post-operative sensory-feeling quality, breastfeeding, symmetry, permanent aesthetic result and less scar/trace are always significant. Nowadays, breast sizes in males can be corrected/given shape with fat removal, and breast sizes in some females can be corrected/given shape with fat injections in a short time.
The repair of the breasts (with nipple and areola) which are taken after the cancer, is performed with silicone implant or autogenetic tissues by our team. Surgical experience, academic discipline and approach, technical team and hygiene and safety, and timing are important for you.
What are the problems after mammoplasty?
Scar/trace, deformity, insufficient treatment, relapse in a short time, prolonged recovery period, sensory loss and tissue loss. With the diffusion of the developing surgical techniques the operations in the breast fold area with prolonged scars/traces are performed only in a limited number of patients.
