Laser systems are used frequently in aesthetic surgery for the purposes of tightening, removal of maculation and making incision through heat effect on the target point. With increasing frequency we see news in social media about laser rhinoplasty (nose aesthetic surgeries) In that sense, the subject deserves a special attention and explanation. Let’s just say the last word from the very beginning. There is no laser rhinoplasty. It is not possible.  It may be possible to carry out some procedures such as reduction of some spongy tissues inside the nose with laser or peeling over the thick pores in the nose skin for tightening purposes. While the scope of application of this procedure is so limited, naming it as rhinoplasty is nothing but an example of commercial cunning.

It must be performed with the utmost care by plastic surgeons that receive a specific training. It also aims at removing breathing complaints in the nose which is a functional organ. To perform rhinoplasty, a surgeon must be equipped with advanced knowledge on wounds and tissues and with techniques, notion, and experience that will enable him to overcome the unexpected conditions faced during surgery.

If you have an aesthetic expectation before operation on the nose, which is one of the most important organs determining our image, please make sure that your doctor has the expertise and qualifications mentioned above. If you neglectsthis requirement, at the end you have to meet that person in order to correct your impaired nose.

Laser rhinoplasty is an extremely misleading denomination. Besides, it is an advertisement that violates professional ethics.  In practice, application of laser is limited only some tissues inside the nose and to the tightening of the nasal skin, ie, skin renewal. A rhinoplasty, which is claimed to be done in a bloodless and painless way without suture, just with fillers or thread is not rhinoplasty at all.
