    Elevator Etiquette

     

    1. Make sure you do not step into the elevator shaft upon the opening of the elevator door
    2. You should give way to the persons that leave the elevator. Therefore, it is not appropriate to wait at the entrance of the elevator door blocking the people.
    3. To go up, press the button pointing the way up is to be pressed. There is no use in pressing hit the button repeatedly.
    4. If the “busy” button is on, there is no point in pressing the call button; you should wait for the “busy” button to be turned off.
    5. If the cabin light is off, do not get on elevator
    6. Do not speak loudly in the elevator, do not eat food; do not clean your nose and throat in the elevator.
    7. The elevator mirror is not for the make-up, but for the relief of the people whose souls are gripped in closed environments.
    8. It is not appropriate for the first persons who get on the elevator first and pressed the button for his/her floor, to stand in front of the panel of buttons in such a way as to prevent the others personsˊ access to the buttons
    9. When entering and exiting the elevator, give way to the disabled persons, children, elderly and the ladies. They have priority.
    10. Do not enter the elevator while you are talking on your cellphone.
    11. If elevator is full, do not enter elevator with backpack, balloons or stroller
    12. Do not stare or look right into the eyes of the other people in the elevator for a long time.
    13. Do not move or change your place inside the elevator until it stops.
    14. Do not get on the elevator going up, if your final destination is down.
    15. Do not allow children play with the buttons inside the elevator. You should not let them press multiple buttons.
    16. Do not write anything on the walls. Do not try to remove warning labels fixed inside the elevator.
    17. Do not press the buttons unnecessarily.
    18. Inside the elevator, do not make noise playing and swinging keychain, rosary or similar objects. Do not read newspapers: do not spray perfume. Do not whistle.

    19 Do not sneeze around; Use your handkerchief or arms to protect others.

    1. Use freight elevator to carry your loads, bicycle or large boxes.
    2. Do not force your pets into the crowded elevators.
    3. Do not occupy the elevator if you will go one floor up or down.
    4. When the opening of the elevator doors is delayed, do not try to open it by force.

     

    1. Keep greetings short when you meet someone while you are leaving or entering the elevator.
    2. Do not use elevators that are assigned for freight, personnel or patient in large buildings, plazas and hospital
    3. The closure of the door should not be blocked for a long time to wait for somebody to enter inside the elevator.
    4. Make sure that the ventilation in the elevator is switched on (even if it is noisy) and is operating effectively.
    5. When the elevator gives an excess weight alarm, as a rule, the person, who get in last should leave first. Do not try to squeeze everybody inside by closing the ranks;
    6. Elevator buttons are potentially one of the most microbial areas around us. For this reason, if possible, the buttons must be pressed with a key ring or another object without touching the fingertip.
    7. The children below the age of 10 should not use elevators alone. It is not safe for them.
    8. Not being stuck in an elevator, but panicking when the elevator does not work for any reason could be dangerous. The information on what to do in case of power cut or breakdown should be written on an information panel inside the elevator. Illuminate the cabinet by holding the light of your phone to the ceiling until the generator is switched on (or to the technician’s arrival). Press the First Aid and Alarm button. Call your acquaintance or friend within the building and report the status
