What is bride and groom aesthetics and why is it important?

Following the beginning of Spring on 24 March, the men and women who plan wedding and marriage preparations in April, May, June, take action on social media platforms in order to get rid of their tired, dull skin and to gain the fresh and bright face appearance. It is known that artists, models, singers and especially men and women engaged in wedding preparations have an increasing interest in aesthetic procedures at this time of year.
In marriages where permanent relationships are intended but not achieved generally; In this cultural, traditional rituals such as wedding, marriage ceremony, which is held only once, all the neighbours, friends and relatives come together and every person in that wedding or marriage ceremony is recorded. Everyone shares these posts on social media by taking photo or recording video. Even these photos or videos are archived in order to watch again in the future. It is an art to remove the existing defects and deficiencies of the bride and groom who want to look good/beautiful with make-up or handmade in the hairdresser saloon. (Bridal hair-do, shaving for groom etc.). The bride and groom aesthetics aim to remove the defects and deficiencies that are disturbing themselves in their images by surgical or non-surgical techniques especially before such important days. Next week, I will mention the surgical or non-surgical bride and groom aesthetic procedures which is the most common reason for application to the clinics.

When should bride and groom aesthetic procedures be performed?

Wedding aesthetics should be performed at least one year before the wedding or marriage, if it is intended for a surgical procedure or combined series of aesthetic procedures depending on the priority of expectation and needs of person. If it includes only non-surgical procedures such as rejuvenation, it should be performed before 15 day or 1 month from the wedding or marriage. If this period for groom prospective groom includes hair transplantation or body shaping with removing of regional fat such as gynecomastia, should be completed before one year from the wedding or marriage. These time periods are ideal for shaping or wound healing. We cannot talk about ideal time period for those who will marry immediately by making a sudden decision. A witness should be enough for them.

How long before bride aesthetic should be done? What if just a few days left…

It is recommended to be performed one year ago; Facel/neck lift surgery, Rhinoplasty and nose tip aesthetics, abdominoplasty, breast augmentation with silicone, breast reduction and breast lift surgery, Butt or breast lifting with fat tissues obtained from the patient, removal of regional fat excesses with liposuction and prifoloplasty.

6 months left to the wedding or marriage: double chin, jaw aesthetics, prominent ear surgery, treatment of eyelid ptosis, vaginoplasty and genital rejuvenation procedures, hair rejuvenation and strengthening protocols, Jaw neck contour correction procedures

Procedures should be performed before 1-3 months: Cheekbone lifting, bichectomy, dimple aesthetics, removal of bruises and under eye bag, removal of facial acne and acne scars and oily skin problems.

Only a few days left: Liplift (contour, volume procedures) and smile aesthetics, anti-wrinkle Botox® for eye contour and glabella/between eyebrows, energy based procedures with sessions for a younger, fresh, bright face by reducing dull, tired appearance, epilation.

When should “groom” aesthetics be performed?

The procedures which should be performed at least one year before from the wedding or marriage: hair transplantation, abdominoplasty, face/neck lift.
The procedures which should be performed before 6 months: Mammoplasty with gynecomastia, body shaping with liposuction to abdomen, waist and legs, rhinoplasty, spot and acne treatments with sessions, regional fat transfer.

The procedures which should be performed before 1-3 months: Prominent ear, eyelid, jaw and double chin lift, liplift, eyebrow lift, stem cell procedures, hair strengthening protocols, epilation, genital aesthetics.

The procedures which should be performed before 1 month: Facial rejuvenation, and the procedures for face lift (mesotherapy, IPL, PRP, Botox®, Filling etc.), treatments of sweating, Jaw shaping with Masseter Botox®, Jaw thinning procedures and Bichectomy, bilateral and unilateral dimple aesthetics.

What should be considered in bride and groom aesthetics?

It is a common case that the patients who apply the clinics on the last day for correction of asymmetric eyebrows or facial expressions due to previous procedures performed to the groom and bride. Interventional procedures of the face should be performed at least 15 days before the wedding day. Timing is as important as the procedure or preferred surgeon in plastic surgeries.

1. Frequent preferred plastic surgeries prior to the wedding or 2. Non-surgical procedures

1) Nasal tip aesthetics, rhinopalsty with breathing techniques, acne and acne scars treatment, porous and oily skin rejuvenation, epilation for cheek lines, back and neck in males, areola asymmetry correction in females, Brotox® (Botox procedures in males), gynecomastia treatment (enlargement of breasts) in men, breast augmentation and/or breast lift with silicone, dimples of venus ( back dimples), body shaping with liposuction (waist, abdomen, double chin), armpit sweating treatments, facial filling procedures, face and neck lift, brightening mesotherapy or youth/skin vaccination, tattoo removal, spots removal and prominent ear surgery.

2) Face, neck, low-neck, dorsum of the hand, armpit and genital rejuvenation and brightening procedures are the most common non-surgical procedures. For this purpose, PRP, radiofrequency, IPL (Lumecca), epilation, HIFU-focused ultrasound (Doublo-A) can be said. Filling and Botox® procedures, steam cell procedures and hand/foot and armpit sweating treatments are the other non-surgical aesthetic procedures.
