A Different Perspective on New Trends in Aesthetic Surgery
The desire to become more beautiful, to be approved and to be appreciated is an indispensable place in the perception of the image of today’s people who are constantly looking for a higher position in the social scale. This demand is the most important and powerful trigger of the cosmetics industry whose annual turnover amounts to billions of dollars.
In order to meet this demand, which looks for an effective and safe result on the condition of return to work and social life as soon as possible, every title that contains the word “new” has a very high attractiveness within the sector.
In the sector that flares up in the blindness of the competition; the common claims of all these new devices, products and techniques, which serve “cosmetic recovery”, increasing in number every day; is that they are cheaper, affordable, less time consuming and easy to apply. Hence any preferences made in the name of “New” are often incorrect, inadequate, unsafe, and undesirable. I would like to invite you to be more careful in the new year in order to ensure that the results obtained in these methods, whose safety and effectiveness are not proven to be effective, would not be provide “money-lifting” or “walletectomy”.
Now, while we are about to enter a new year, let us have a brief look at the recent trends from this perspective.
- Breast enlargement with fat or filler:
This is a highly application that is attracting attention in recent years as a natural and nonsurgical technique. Studies show that the growth that can be obtained in breasts as a result of fat injection could be of fat on the breasts can be as high as one body-size, and that a large proportion of the fat injections can result in disproportionate volume losses over the months.
Now, when we are entering a new year, we should take a brief look at the recent trends in this respect:
- Breast enlargement with oil or filler:
It is an application that is remarkable in recent years as a natural and knifeless technique. Studies show that the growth of fat on the breasts can be as high as one body, and that a large proportion of the oil fillings to the nozzles can result in disproportionate volume losses over the months. As a result of this situation, while it is possible to observe asymmetry, withdrawals, as well as the formation of rigid masses in the breasts, there is also the risk that the stem cells introduced to the breast with the transfer of fat trigger could trigger cancer cells in the breast. Cancer can also be triggered by the traumatic effect on the materials used as filler in the breasts. Repeated corrective interventions caused by volume loss, displacement and asymmetry are clinical problems that can be easily encountered in the natural process of these applications.
- Facial Renewal with PRP:
The result obtained in this application, which is the method of reintroducing the cells containing the growth factors taken from your own blood, is not only related to the injection of blood cells to your skin, but also dependent on “how” this process is realized. A nother factor that influences the results, which are varying from person to person and according to expectation, is the patient’s capacity to recover from trauma. The technique should be determined according to the person’s expectation of recovery and skin type. The persistence of the effects is closely related to the lifestyle of the patient, her/his contact with the sun and its repetition once a year.
- Face lift-renewal with Stem Cells:
It is an application that has recently been noticed in the media with the realization of the fact that stems cells are abundant in adipose tissues. In addition to the improvement in the skin, the correction of volume deficiencies by stem cell transplantation caused this technique to be referred to as a method alternative to face lift among many plastic surgeons. The application is considered as a low profile technique in the science arena but a sparkling method in the industry. In order to obtain the full effect, the amount and the frequency at which it should be repeated is variable. The loss of fat volume is inevitable in a certain ratio and the results may vary according to the individual. FDA
- Lip Enlargement with Filler:
Not every filler can be used for lips. In many patients who are not selective about the filler material, palpable nodules, cysts, swelling that may be felt by tongue and even visible from outside may be observed together with asymmetries and contour deformations Therefore it is necessary to prefer certified, tested, efficacious Hyaluronic Acid (HA) derivative fillers for lip filling or contouring applications, which are increasing becoming trendy.
- Liposuction with Laser
It is a technique that has been used in recent years instead of the classical method applied by mechanical arm force. The word laser used in the title ensures that that it is perceived as a technologically novel application. However, it is a technique that has many side effects (burns, scars, tissue hardening, prolonged pain, etc.). Its most important advantage is that it tightens the skin in the region where it is applied and does not cause excessive bruising after the procedure. Laser liposuction could be compared to sculpturing with a grenade in the hands of inexperienced people. There are cannulas used in liposuction that operate without causing any movement of the arm thanks to the powered head of the device. In practice, the results are shaped by expertise, experience and respect for tissues.
6. Face-neck Lifting with USG
It is an FDA-approved facial renewal product.
It has been developed to correct sagging eyebrows, wrinkles and volume losses that are generally after 50 years of age. The most striking feature in its application is that the process is a painful procedure, no matter how much superficial anesthetic cream is used. There is a need for a new version that provides maximum effect at low frequencies without causing pain.
7. Arm Lift (Brachioplasty):
In cases where skin sagging is prominent, an incision of at least 15-20 cm from the armpit to the elbow and the risk of nerve damage during the procedure is the most important side effects that should be considered. The group of patients who most frequent and widely prefer the arm lifting operation is not those people who prefer sleeveless dresses but rather patients who have wings of sagging skin in their arms due to excessive weight loss after obesity surgery. It is an application that is trendy and highly satisfactory for patients in this group.
- Hip Enlargement:
For this purpose, fat injection, filler materials or silicone hip prostheses are used. Available data indicate that a second correction or replacement operation is needed in 1/4 of patients undergoing hip enlargement with prosthesis. Successful results are reported with fat injections that do not end in a single session for the enlargement of this region. Anatomically, there is no pocket to take prosthesis in the buttocks, so there may be frequent displacement of the prosthesis due to movement, lying and sitting.
- Local applications that rapidly dissolve fat:
Especially the effectiveness of all slimming devices, which work by cooling, or breaking (?) the fat claiming the rapid, easy and painless dissolving of the fats located around the basins and the abdomen could create compelling pressure on the cardiovascular kidney balance in the body.
The activity requires a multi-session application. The body, which is activated in order to re-ensure the balance of the body which is determinate immediately after the application, always restores your losses (fats) this time by operating the process in reverse to regain the fat and hormone metabolism that have been lost.
For the sagging skin on the fat masses which are physiologically diminished rather than in a permanent way, the remedy is to wait for these areas to be filled with fat tissues once again. We call attention to these temporary applications, which are quite trendy because they are less time consuming, and easily applied without anesthesia, because they may result in “walletectomy” instead of lipectomy (fat loss). Another important aspect of the application that you should be aware of is the fact that the application is made through a medical aesthetic expertise specialty that is non-existent.
- Feet Aesthetics and Architecture
These are the procedures that are done, at an ever increasing rate, to reshape the ankle and the toes. A Turkish proverb says: “Your friend looks at your face while your enemy looks at your feet” Now this understanding has been replaced by the reality of feet aesthetics, as the primary fetish object of men.
The common goal of fashion designers, both today and in the past has always been to design such shoes that bring the feet and the ankle of the women to the forefront, representing the woman in the most prominent way possible. Today, image coaches attribute to the shoes, which are a chosen by the person and displayed on his feet, the role of an indicator showing the cultural and social status of the person. Hence, our feet and ankles are organs with such socio-psychological effect that a very high level of importance has been placed on them but there are still physically neglected.
The following are among the most frequently performed foot aesthetics interventions: thinning of the ankle or reshaping with filler, treatment of thumb deformation, (Hallux valgus/Bonion, calluses, bone protrusions, long and beak shaped toes, contour disorders that distort the foot curve and slope and removal of the traumatic scars (fracture, burn or wounds).
The most important point is that the intervention to the areas that carry the body weight should be avoided. Moreover, considering that healing of the wounds could be problematic for the diabetic patients or patients with vascular diseases, and those who smoke, it is necessary to present realistic, reliable and lasting solutions that could certainly satisfy their aesthetic expectations. I guess it is not necessary to remind you that the right venue for the solution of your problems is to apply to a “specialists” who has a Notion of plastic surgery.
- Genital Aesthetic Applications:
In addition to skin renewal, refreshing and decolorizing applied in genital organs and tissues, which change with time and age, the procedures such as vaginal tightening, clitoris shaping, inner and outer lip reduction or clarification, stretching of pubic area, suspending are included in the list of trendy applications for which there is a growing demand in 2014. The fact that all these applications are done without anesthesia and enable the patient to return to work immediately is the reasons why these interventions are increasingly preferred.
Aesthetics and / or surgical applications should be completed with suggestions and products that are almost always personal, specific to the characteristics and expectations of the patient, respecting the skin type and texture, with the protective or complementary procedure.
We wish you to reach a beauty that is healthy, compatible with your soul and body and that it is permanent.
