    “14 DANGERS” THAT WE SHOULD PAY ATTENTION BEFORE THE SUMMER VACATION – Health Camp Diaries I. – VII.

     

    The most efficient, economic and permanent treatment in health is protection.  Given the attention deficit that you may suffer, 14 dangers and our suggestions are compiled for you.

    1. Sunburn: Sun rays contain harmful UV rays that that can burn your skin, trigger skin cancer, dry your skin and cause wrinkles. In order to protect your skin, it is enough to apply any protective product that is labeled as “SPF> 15” once in every e hours you are expose to sun rays. The fact that the product has a higher numerical value does not mean that its efficiency would be higher. The more important thing to consider when choosing a protective product is its content. Do not expose your body to sun rays without protection.
    2. Dehydration due to heat and exercise: Your body is dehydrated due to the effects of sun, s auna, moisture and hot weather. People who drink tea, coffee, beer or beverage instead of water think they get enough liquid from these drinks. Even in everyday life activities, you need to drink at least 1.5-2 liters of water per day, and this need increases with the activities on scorching summer days and especially when you go to the open air for sports, gardening or shopping. Drink plenty of water.

    III. Excessive use of alcohol: Alcohol is not stored in the body, processed. Each process has a side effect. When alcohol is taken excessively, it begins to have toxic effects all over the body. The water is excreted from the body through the kidneys. When this effect is added to the heat of the summer, together with the lack of drinking habits, many neuro –cardio toxic disorders are observed.

    1. Pest-insect bites: Learn and take note of the locations, contact numbers, working hours of the nearest health care providers and get information on medical qualifications, equipment and antidotes they have, taking into account possible emergencies that could be faced by everyone in the open air, sea and rocks, especially, against the risk of dangerous tick bites in the meadow and grass areas.
    2. Fatigue, drowsiness and traffic accidents: During the long travels that you go on with your own vehicle, you have to focus your attention constantly while d riving. You should rest every 3 hours, and avoid diuretic energy drinks, tea and coffee and If you are traveling with your own vehicle, you should have taken rest and  completed the necessary preparations the day before travel. A study shows that you cannot perceive 80% of the dangers you have in your sights when you are driving while texting a message or talking on your mobile phone without a headset. This phenomenon is called inattentional blindness. When we add other unforeseen risks on the road and weather conditions, we can easily conclude that you are driving your vehicle without looking at the road while texting your message.
    3. Damaged Skin: Vacations and travels are usually short periods of time into which you try to squeeze intensive activities. Therefore, you should not neglect cleansing, protective, nourishing, balancing and moisturizing skin care as your skin is exposed to wind, moisture, dust, sand and sun every day.

    VII. Energy Drinks, Supplementary Drugs: In order to have time for intense activities during holidays, vacationers generally give concessions from the time they allocate for sleeping time, eating and resting, as well as from their spare time. Hence, to increase their performance during the holiday and to keep pace with this intensive program, their first option is to use supplementary products and drugs.  These products serve as patches and they are temporary solutions used to closing any gap caused by things that do not work properly.

    Most of them have placebo effect, and they are useful only through cogency  in proportion to person’s belief and expectations.  Most of their content is useful for a short period of time or as much as they are consumed. Almost none of them have therapeutic properties, quality and value

    These products (tablets, drinks and beverages) could be in your interest  to avoid any potential harm, if  consumed in very limited circumstances and with limited quantities.  Tested, safe and protective products, which are prescribed by your doctor, are exceptions to this rule.
