    14 DANGER” THAT WE SHOULD PAY ATTENTION BEFORE THE SUMMER VACATION – Health Camp Diaries XXX

     

    The most efficient, economic and permanent treatment in health is protection.  Given the attention deficit that you may suffer, 14 dangers and our suggestions are compiled for you. We continue from where we had stopped as following:

    VIII. The preference for wrong and unsuitable locations: When the heat level increases, we should go to the cooler northern regions due to the nature of our body. However, we just do the opposite, turning our face TO the South, which is much warmer. We go southern coasts, cottages, hotels. While we try to escape from the heat, we end up staying in a much warmer place.

    We set off for a trip, to arrive to a place which is much more crowded and noisy than where we normally live, to eat much more perhaps at much cheaper prices. The place we go, have heavier traffic and a much more noisy and crowded environment.

    In fact, the general purpose of vacations  is to break out of the daily routine, to rest and to spare some time for yourself, to escape from the continuous responsibilities of work and social life and to have the opportunity to spend and enjoy quality time on your own and together with your loved ones

    To achieve this, you should have your holiday with people and in a place, climate and environment that will relax you without giving any disturbance.

    Any vacation with friends that ignore your needs and limit your expectations, cannot be considered as a vacation, but rather as an exile. This is a predictable problem. The solution lies in your attention.

    1. Friendships at Vacations: You can enjoy our vacation as much as that is allowed by people who accompany you during your vacations. What is interesting is the fact that people cannot hide their true characters during travels and vacations. Travel companionship and having and having a vacation together necessitate a culture of living together coming from the family, maturity and understanding as much as it necessitates a careful effort in this regard. The vacation is the scale where these unspoken values are weighted. This cannot be left up to chance.
    2. Sun Stains: In the Pre-holiday period, you should avoid skin rejuvenation/resurfacing processes such as peeling, laser, skin care. Besides, 1-2 months in advance, you should stop using stain-removing products that make your skin more sensitive to sunlight.
    3. Sauna: For your heart health, it is very important that you do not go to hot rooms such as sauna or bath after lunch or after drinking alcohol. You have already gone to a hotter place and even you are settled there, not at least you had better stay away from these warmer environments, which could be as hot as 80-90 C°.

    We know that when the body temperature increases by 1 degree and the heart rate increases by 15-20 per minute. In advanced ages, it is very inconvenient for people with blood pressure problems to stay in the sauna for a long time.  Of course, we say all these for the people who eat until they are hall for you.

    The former president of Football Federation late Mr. Hasan Doğan and Mr Kenan Işık are two important examples of the negative effects of the heat we are exposed in the saunas.

    XII. Air-conditioning Effect: Hot weather settled in, and you have resorted to even to a hotter place. OK ,tha is acceptable. Then, you wondered where all this heat come from and you have got an air-conditioner installed in your bedroom. That is also OK.  With air-conditioner, room temperature is 21 C°, while it is 46 C° in your balcony and 48 C° inside your car. You are in the front sat and the air conditioner is trying to reduce the temperature inside the car to 19 C°.

    If you try to cool down just in front of an air-conditioner, if you fall asleep during the night right in front of it, and if you try to cool the air inside your car while the windows are open, you would certainly have should pain as a vacation-killer. Be careful.

    XIII. Pepper gas/tear gas: Have a small packet of pepper-gas in your bag against possible attacks that may take place in risky places such as closed parking areas, dark places, exits of entertainment places etc. It will certainly help protect you.

    XIV. Fast-food, Diet and Holiday tortures: Even if you’re on holiday, we suggest you prefer natural nutrition rather than fast-high-calorie and fatty food which is easily available.. Of course you are not on vacation to prepare food, wash the dishes. Indeed, the food has never been the real problem.

    The problem is related to the difficulty of sticking to a balanced, healthy and conscious diet and making it a life-style for you by taking it seriously.  Of course, vacation is not a place to put you under strain. But who has ever told you to go on a diet, torture yourself and lose some weight?

    Do not concentrate on losing weight, diets and keeping in form. Do not think of what is missing. Just apply with assertiveness what you have to do in order to have a healthier life. Never rush in a hurry. You will see that your body will reward you at the end.

    With diets, you may lose weight, but with healthy life practices and a healthy nutrition, you may re-shape your body as well.
